How to donate
Fish Owl Aid works to provide food to help breeding fish owls in danger of extinction. Your donation purchases live cherry trout which are released into special feeding ponds. One cherry trout is priced at about US$1. 50 kg of cherry trout are released at once, which costs US$75,000 and provides a food reserve for about one and half months. We release eight to ten times a year.
Your donation helps feed breeding fish owls.
US$10 covers food expenses for one day for two adult birds.
How to Donate
Fish Owl Aid provides local children with ecological education titled Fish Owl Education. Children learn about the relationship between fish owls and local environments and our own lives, and the importance of the entire community collectively working on the protection of fish owls is explained.
Your donation enables Fish Owl Education to reach more children, the future generations who will take responsibility for our environment. By learning about rare species, children get opportunities to think about preserving local environments on their own.
US$300, or six donations of US$50, covers the costs of one educational session.
